Cocoa Chocolate Chip Pecan Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • ⅓ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 1 ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup cane sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semi-sweet or bittersweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
  • 1 cup dried cranberries (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 F.
  2. Whisk first four ingredients together.
  3. Cream butter and sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla.
  5. Add wet to dry, stir to combine.
  6. Add chocolate chips and pecans (cranberries if using).
  7. Drop by heaping tablespoons onto a parchment lined cookie sheet.
  8. Bake 12-15 minutes.
